You pick on one of us; you pick on all of us.

By day I’m one of Rothco’s copywriters, but by day and night, I’m something much more important than that – a Mum. A Mum of a child with Cystic Fibrosis to be precise.

The way I see it, Mums are a completely underestimated species. We don’t just protect our own young; we try our darnedest to protect everyone else’s too.

Because if you pick on one CF Mum, YOU PICK ON US ALL.

So when the NCPE (National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics) turned down the life-changing Cystic Fibrosis drug Orkambi on the basis of cost, I was never going to sit still. My daughter may not have the particular CF genetics that this drug will treat, but that doesn’t matter. Because if you pick on one CF Mum, YOU PICK ON US ALL. We’re in this together. And we won’t rest until that no becomes a Yes.

Thankfully, I’m perfectly matched to an agency that equally doesn’t rest on its laurels.

Introducing #YesOrkambi – an activation campaign on a mission to secure funding for this breakthrough treatment. We want to take the voices of the CF Community and amplify them. We want to give people the tools they need to fight. We want to make sure that our Government is not allowed to put a price on people’s lives.

#YesOrkambi

If you have a child, please share our campaign.

If you have a heart, please share our campaign. If you have a future, please think of people with CF who can’t assume that they do.

As I said before, you pick on one CF Mum; you pick on us all.

And you pick on one Rothconian; you pick on us all too.
