One Show Awards – Our ECD highlights life-saving brainBand technology

A few weeks before the One Show Awards are handed out, our Executive Creative Director, Alan Kelly, highlights one of the most innovative technologies up for consideration.

Samsung Australia’s brainBand is a wearable headband designed for athletes involved in high-impact contact sports, like Rugby and American Football. The band measures the severity of impact forces, alerting team members and medical staff when a player has suffered a significant impact.

“[this is] an amazing piece of technology”, says Alan, “that’s going to be really important for not just for rugby but for athletes around the world”.

This year Alan is judging on the One Show Mobile Jury – The One Show and Creative Week will take place between May 8 and 12, 2017.
