We are looking for... an experienced and creative Social Media Manager with a proven ability to challenge ideas.

About the role

Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of world-class social media strategies, as well as driving creative output, for both our clients and the Rothco brand.


  • Deliver Social Media strategies for key clients in conjunction with account management, strategy and creative teams.
  • Develop and integrate Social Media throughout the agency – advancing social as a “second nature” deliverable for campaigns.
  • Ensure that ‘best in class’ Social Media is a constant throughout the agency.
  • Seek out and facilitate the development of high-level creative ideas and ensure they are a suitable fit into a social landscape.
  • Organise, conceptualise and develop tactical, culturally relevant, creative social media ideas.
  • Define and lead Social Media needs from the briefing stage.
  • Ensure all social media ideas are fully integrated within all campaigns and not “plugged in” at a later stage.
  • Succinctly outline the role of each social channel within a campaign and clearly identify and set out KPI’s to measure success against.
  • Managing the creation, posting, responding, monitoring and tracking of social media posts, in this regard, generation of content may be required.
  • Identify the right listening and monitoring tools for clients and introduce/assess their use where necessary.
  • Provide analysis of channel, campaign element and content performance.
  • Contribute to development of content calendars and oversee their implementation.
  • Liaise with our clients’ social media function and community management teams where necessary.
  • Provide ongoing perspectives on client’s social media positioning.
  • Actively look for new social media business with existing clients and/or new business.
  • Provide support and knowledge to Account Management enabling them to sell social solutions/products to clients. Give them the tools needed through client analysis (as outlined above).
  • Ensure familiarity with widely used and emerging social media technology channels and position the agency as thought leaders in the social spectrum.
  • Read and think broadly about the topics of social media content, entertainment and technology.
  • Identify and improve organisational development aspects that would improve content.
  • Drive revenue growth via social media business.
  • Provide perspective and knowledge on paid social media and channel strategy in the absence of media agency plans or buys.
  • Build strong relationships with social media partners and agency partners, where applicable.
  • Initiate, organise and facilitate introductions/meetings with potential collaborators in media, technology and production.


  • 3-5 years’ experience in the creation, monitoring and tracking of social media strategies and social content performance.
  • Experience in building and implementing content calendars.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, Photoshop/Illustrator and Wordpress.
  • Experience managing B2B social channels.
  • Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including but not limited to Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and TweetDeck.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to adapt to various brand’s languages.
  • 100% drive and determination for success.
  • Proven organisational skills.
